Parking Eye - Letter received 60 days after incident?

Hi All,

I received a PCN from ParkingEye;

Date of the event - 22/09/2017
Date Issued - 02/11/2017
(Total 41 days)
Notice Received - 16/11/2017

(Arival Time - 09:10 / Departure Time 10:20)

I wasn't the registered keeper as it was a company car.

To add insult to injury I actually paid for the parking but think I may have entered my registration number incorrectly as it was a emergency appointment.

I have wrote to ParkingEye explaining this in detail, I've also told them im not the registered keeper and I have indeed paid. They have written back to say that unless I have proof of payment they cant do anything and have demanded the payment from me.

Having already made the payment im aggrieved to have to pay them so any advice on how to proceed from here would be appreciated.

Hi

Request all the correspondence re this from your employer.

Post up the postal Notice to Keeper (front & rear, obscure personal info, leave times & dates visible.)

So have you identified who was driving, it looks as though you have? A simple yes or no.

You are the keeper of the car. That PE notice cannot hold the keeper liable. this looks like a notice to hirer. Could just try a letter, as the keeper, saying that they have failed to be able to hold the keeper (you) liable because they have not complied with POFA. I think 60 days is too long a time for the letter to be delivered. PE knew this which is why you have a non Pofa letter and they just hope that the keeper will not know the difference and pay anyway.

Thanks for this . . They originally wrote to the company who was the hirer. I wrote to them to say I was driving and made a point about the length of time to send the notice. I also advised I had indeed paid and asked them to check their system for a reg similar but maybe with one digit wrong etc. They basically wrote back and said id have to prove it myself. The car its self has gone back to the hirier now, i'm no longer the driver and the company no longer have any association with the car.

Are you advising that i write to them again as the keeper advising they haven't complied with POFA and that 60+ days is too long for a letter to be delivered?

If so, have you tried contacting PALS...see if they will intervene?
