  • V5 once BCA collected

Hi all!, just VT my polo with VWFS and a couple hours ago someone from BCA came and inspected and collected the car, he didn’t ask for the V5 but I had it so I gave it to him (he said no one ever has their v5 so that’s why he didn’t ask) but he left me with section 9 of the logbook cause that’s all I needed he said, he didn’t sign it or anything just left me the empty blank slip, so just to cover my back do I need to tell the DVLA that BCA have the car now and how do I do that when he didn’t leave any details for me or will BCA sort that once they have the car or do I not need to bother as the DVLA don’t really give a s**t thank you all in advance

Yes you should notify DVLA, and he should have signed the slip as well
Keep a copy and send first class with free certificate of posting (DVLA have a terrible record of losing documents but then denying they were ever sent!)

Thank you for the reply, I did say do you need to sign this and he said no so what do I do now cause all I’ve got left is the section 9 yellow slip from the log book he took the rest of it and how can I send it off when I’ve only got that one copy and he hasn’t signed it?

Send it with a note saying he refused to sign it!
