Hi, really hope someone can help, to cut a long story short, I forgot a dart charge last year, paid it a day late, got a pcn, phoned was told they had a copy of my payment so I forgot all about it and never heard another thing, until today! A bailiff from marstons came pushed his way into my house and demanded £425.50 or was removing goods, he refused to call anyone, wouldn't let me call his office or discuss a payment plan, out of fear I paid, I swear I hadn't received a single letter from highways England or marstons before this, I phoned the dart charge number and they said fill in forms te7 and te9 and I can claim my money back, will this get my money back? I have handed over all I had, i can only assume from his attitude they don't tell you there coming because then they might lose the chance of getting the £200 fee to knock on the door! Thank you

Re: Dart charge
If you are certain you have had no paperwork about this then firstly you need to check with Highways England as to where they have been writing - you should have had several letters before it got to this stage. You should also be asking the Traffic Enforcement Centre the same and also if the address has been changed. Lastly Marstons with the same request.
If it can be seen an "odd" address has been used then there may be a chance you could be reimbursed.
I have suggested you contact Marstons to check the address because they should have sent you a Notice of Enforcement which even if all had slipped your mind gave you an option to pay at a restricted Fee rate of £75, by visiting they have charged this and £235 for coming to see you.
