    My daughters non fault car insurance claim. The lady who hit my daughters car claimed full reponsibilty but her car insurers will only pay the cost of her car as it is know not 1 year ago when she bought. So she has no money left for the deposit for a new car we do have home legal cover will that do anything please help and she has also gap insurance which will pay her hp luckiy

    That is correct.
    Your daughter can only recover the current value of her vehicle. (make your own enquiries as to its current value and do not automatically accept the insurers first offer. Get copies of adverts for similar vehicles as the insurers will probably try and fob you off with trade buy in valuations!)
    However she can also recover from the third party any additional costs she has been put to.
    This would include the cost of fares, bus or taxi and the cost of hiring a vehicle whilst awaiting receipt of insurance monies. This will include also upto a further two weeks to source and purchase a suitable replacement.
    If she does not hire a vehicle she could claim for loss of use of her vehicle for a similar period. (I thnk the current rate is around £10 per day, but that will need checking)
    There is also loss of roa tax and insurance premiums to take into account
