  • Parking invoice popla update

Hey all just a further update along the line.

    Brief recap.

Received parking 'fine' sent letter invoking appeals procedure. Received popla code, replied using contract and generated loss standard template supplied here.

Received letter off popla saying had been received awaiting response from ppc for their side of story etc.

that was a good month ago. Heard no more. Had a letter 2 weeks ago from the solicitors, I forget their name, (began with r, the usual ones anyway) stating they have heard no more, my time to appeal has passed and I now owe them £160.

ignored this completely as I was awaiting a popla verdict, which is taking a long time.

i assume they are back logged. My question is - is this playing into my hands? In the respect of time passed and no communication etc, any angle I can take to capitalise or is the solicitors letter an indication I've lost or something has gone tits up in correspondence?

    cheers all.

Yes had letter from popla saying appeal received. They were now waiting for the operators response. 14 days were mentioned for something.

Definitely received and acknowledged by popla.

If they follow up the demand for £160 and threaten court whilst popla in process they would be very silly, they are just trying it on, and are digging themselves a big hole.

Dofeboy - POPLA should have said in their email that your "case" will be looked at/acted on & give you some dates when a result should be due.

As M1 said, just sit tight & chill - I followed M1s awesome advice & the parking charge was cancelled.
