  • Oustanding penalty notice, nearly a year after original PCN

    Hi

I have received 2 letters this morning in regards to, 2 PCN's both were last year one in june and the other in july.

The letter from the council says.

"Having reviewed our records, the above Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) is still showing as unpaid. A number of notices have already been sent to you at this address requesting payment, but unfortunately the matter remains unresolved.

I do have the original PCN notices but i was going through some personal stuff back then and simply forgot about them.

They have given me 14 days to pay, one fine is £90 the other is £165.

Is there any way i can delay this because i cant afford to foot £255 this month.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Ace.

I would suggest a grovelling letter of apology (I don't have any suggestions to explain "forgetting" several reminders), a payment on account and a request for a payment arrangement unless you can clear the outstanding penalties within a month or so.
