Received a demand for £70 today for parking in a hospital car park where I was attending for an appointment .At first I thought it was because I was2 minutes over the hour but now I'm not so sure. I went to the car park an hour ago with my camera as there were no tariffs visible and I was unsure what I'd actually paid for. I noticed that other car parks were clearly marked staff only but the one I used and had used on one previous occasion only mentioned the rate of charge for staff and did not state staff only and not for public use.Ihave photos to prove this The only map of the hospital is only visible on foot and there is clearly no restrictions or directions to car parks.I am very upset by this and am not local to this hospital and have just transferred my care from another hospital.I would be extremely grateful for any help or advice.

Re: Parking eye fine received today
Hi @Staffiegirl, Welcome to LB!!
First things first - APPEAL the charge. Something along the lines of:
Dear Sirs,
I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver was a customer of ******** and did not see the signage. In any event the charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss as well as being an amount larger than permitted under the BPA code of practice to which you subscribe.
I will not name the driver as i am under no statutory obligation to do so.
Please accept my appeal or supply a popla code.
Yours etc
If they reject your appeal and supply a POPLA code, or reject your appeal and don't supply a code - get back to us and we can help you more

Re: Parking eye fine received today
Appeal and if that's rejected use your resulting popla code to appeal and you'll win.
Dear Sirs,
I,as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals process. The driver paid for parking (see attached receipt) and in any event your charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.
I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will no do so.

Re: Parking eye fine received today
Do what Kati & M1 are suggesting - they are really helpful - save the photos as jpegs too, because if it gets to the POPLA appeal thing, you can attach photos to your appeal (using the POPLA code you might get).
Hopefully, they'll just disappear & you can carry on with your normal life!
