Can this fine be avoided

Hi all,

This is my first post and posting on behalf of a friend. They have received a ticket from the police. The ticket does not show the amount of the fine. Is this void? I don't believe it is as there is a number to call to find out the balance.

If the ticket doesn't show an amount, send them a cheque for£0.00
