    Write to them again, with proof of posting, to remind them that you have named the driver and therefore your liability under POFA no longer applies. (Tough but that's the law!). They must now proceed against the named driver and any further action against you is harassment.

    When your wife receives the notices in her name then she can appeal and ask for a POPLA code and then have the POPLA appeal, with the help of the forum, accepted.

    If they do decide to take it to court in your name you can show you followed the requirements of POFA and therefore there is no liability and no basis for any claim.

      They can't win at court without keeper liability and they know you were not the driver. Ignore all bar court papers unless they send it to your wife. Reiterate the driver details as above keeping proof of posting first of all then wait.
