Getting knocked over whilst cycling on the pavement

Can you help me settle this debate.

Say I'm cycling on the pavement (which I know is illegal) and I car decides to drive on the pavement (also illegal) whilst parking or something.

If the car hits me and I get injured, would I be OK to go ahead and claim... or... could car driver try to claim costs for any damage that may be caused to their car?

You can claim they can claim one will win down to a judge to decide if it goes to court
