  • car insurance issue

    Hello,
My daughter was driving her renault clio last year when her bonnet catch failed and released the bonnet while she was driving it nearly twisted off hitting and damaging the roof of the car, her boyfriend who was in the car with her decided he wanted to claim for damages so instructed a solicitor, they started a claim against her saying she hit a bollard (which she didn't) he's insisting he thought it was a claim against renault and not my daughter, The problem is this time when she went to renew her policy it has doubled in price because of the open claim, she rang her insurance company who said if they got a letter from the boyfriend her payments would go down, well he sent it recorded delivery saying he didn't want to claim against her and now they're saying they want one from solicitor. Who he says he told also but are threatening to make him pay for wasting their time, i was just wondering if they have the letter from the boyfriend as requested in the first place should they now drop her payments?

Have to side with ninsurers here,if the boyfried was willing bto make a false claim why should anyone beleive him when he says he wont claim. No wonder we pay so much for our insurance with people like him about sorry to say this but thousands of others will agree i hope your daughter was not going to be part of this scam
