    des8 I got a letter from trace for £170. A couple of people I know have had ccj’s against them from various parking companies dcbl etc. these companies are getting on my last nerve. What are my choices please?

      TRACE are solely debt collectors, and as there is no debt they can be ignored.

      If people have received a CCJ it will only be following a court claim against them, which they failed to defend or where their defence failed.

      You either pay the demands or wait for the inevitable court claim, which you defend.
      These companies issue court claims like confetti.
      Some they win because people either pay immediately or don't defend.
      If a defence is entered the companies often discontinue at some stage, because even if they win they are unlikely to recover their costs

          All TRACE want is your money, and if you don't intend paying there is no point writing as they will ignore your letter.
