Hello, I need advice about a garage.
This has caused me stress, financial loss, and disruption.
What I want:
- My car was with them for 8 weeks before being moved to another garage.
- I had a courtesy car for 4 weeks but it was restricted to Cornwall. I told them I would be away for work and needed my car back for work.
- When I returned, I was left with no courtesy car option, even though I gave notice. They told me I had just 4 hours to arrange someone to collect it, which wasn’t possible.
- When my car was later due to be collected, they failed to tell me about an outstanding bill, so the collection was cancelled. I had to pay £50 extra for them to return another day.
- I have had to hire a car at my own expense which I cannot afford.
- I struggle with anxiety and asked for clear written communication, but this was ignored.
- Calls and emails were often dismissive or unanswered.
This has caused me stress, financial loss, and disruption.
What I want:
- Advice on compensation for car hire costs, the £50 fee, and loss of use of my vehicle.
- Whether to pursue this through small claims court or another route.
