  • Insureance rip off

    I'm wondering if anyone on here can answer this? If insurance is mandatory and so expensive not many can't afford to pay for the whole year, so are forced to pay in installments. These installment are arranged in the form of a loan with interest, this seems really unfair and even underhanded. When a group are forced through being in a particular economic bracket to take a loan and pay more than those who are more well off, makes me think of terms like "regressive taxation", " systemic inequality", or "poverty premium". I feel there's legal recourse here or there should be...

      It's more a political issue than a legal one. I can't think of any legal action an individual could take. You could start a campaign for new law, start a petition, contact MPs...

          But that is basically no different to buying goods on credit.
          Do you think that is unfair?

          The only insurances which are "mandatory" are RTA vehicle insurance (and one doesn't have to own a car) and "Employers Liability Insurance"
