  • Council PCN is legal?

    Hello,

I live in Newham and i believe that they are abusive with the fines and car removals.
Long story short, in a matter of 6 minutes I've recived a fine for parking without permit and my car was taken to a garage. I had to pay 300£ .
in July I've parked for 2 minutes just to hand my wife some keys across the road and i get a fine ,PCN. In 2 minutes basically. I've made an appeal with the council and it was refused becouse they said the law doesn't give any time for contraventions, you can be fined instantly .
I'm wandering, is there any time frame in the law , or anything that could help me to appeal at the court. This is already too much for me. Just 2-3 minutes and you are done, a new fine in a blink of an eye.

What did the signs / notices say in the area / place where you parked?

Suggest you post on Free Traffic Legal Advice (https://www.ftla.uk/) as they have much experience in dealing with council penalty charges
