Bought a second hand car from a dealer 11/03/2023. Car showed fault 26/04/2023. Complaint sent, repair completed. Fault returned. Repair completed. Fault returned. Car taken back beginning on December 2023 for another repair, returned last week. Fault returned yesterday. I’ve demanded to return the car but they are saying it will be less a usage deduction. The fault has been there since I purchased it, I’ve given opportunity for them to repair it, surely I shouldn’t lose out?

You have had use of the car for nearly a year (less the time spent in for "repair"), so whilst you may reject it, the dealer is entitled to make a deduction for usage.
This should be around 15p per mile, but some will try for a lot more.
How did you pay for the vehicle/ cash/credit card/hp/PCP?
- 1 thank
