  • Tyre Fitting Clowns

    Hi all

I had my tyres changed, wheels balanced, and everything aligned by a local tyre fitting garage chain this week.

When I left the garage it was evident they had messed up when aligning the car as it dangerously pulled to the left, and the steering wheel was off centre. (It wasn’t before)

I returned to the garage immediately and they apologised and said they would look again. When I left half an hour later, the car still pulled to the left, and the wheel still was off centre. I decided they were completely incompetent and left at that point. When I had to drive on the motorway the following day it was obvious they hadn’t balanced my wheels properly either as the wheel started to shake.

Their services cost me £100, and I’m now going to have to spend another £100+ getting their shoddy work rectified elsewhere. Surely I’m entitled to some renumeration under the sale of goods act?

    Thank you

Hi first off you would needs an independent assessment. And lets say that they found the wheels were not balance and the tracking was out
Then my defence would be you must of hit maybe a curb This could be the reason the customers tracking, and balance is out again.
Better still take it back and explain it is still out They may find one of the wheels is not right. Most garages want you to call back.and these jobs are the cream jobs as there is not much expense.
