Notify dvla of seizure

My son recently was the victim of spiking and whilst in hospital suffered seizure like symptoms of unconsciousness and limp limbs he was then intubated for 6 hours
his sick note says seizure and we are still waiting toxicology results ! Doctor told him to notify dvla who would suspend his license for 6 months for driving however is in the army where his role involves driving - all other results were clear
does he notify dvla or not ?

Yes and the Army as well - otherwise his Army career could come to a quick stop.

That is good - they should support / assess him and during his no driving period gainfully employ him.

Is he RLC - if so he might suggest that some courses pertinent to his role may be done whilst recovery takes place.
