  • Used car dealer settlement agreement - required as CRA2015

    Hi all,

I think have read something somewhere before. Finally got the car dealer to take back a car with undisclosed damage on it (30 days to 6 months time-window). Lots of twoing and froing with our favourite online "legal advisors". now they want a settlement agreement with the clause it will not be disclosed to anyone. Assuming this is not a legal requirement in CRA2015. Just asking about some thoughts. Have read something last month on this forum about it.

I would let them know ever so gently, that not is it not a requirement of CRA 2015 but if the matter should go to court it will automatically be in the public domain, so it is in their interest to conclude the agreement

Thank you for the welcome and comments. I will just remove the bits I don't want to sign and add in the dates. Mostly we have just been timewasting between us and negotiating, lets see what else transpires.
