I assumed the Magistrate didn't look at it and just the Clerk as there was no mention of it or any sort of writing to say why the fine was such amount or that they had even read what I had sent in. The police re-opened the case using their relationship with the courts they said, but it was a pain to get the duplication's removed by the DVLA so was relieved when I could stop pestering them.
I think the information they sent through was poor and pretty much did not mention that I could even appeal it, I suppose in theory I didn't directly as I paid it and got it done via the Police, but without the information on here I would not have been unaware.
I hope this forum continues the amazing work, as I am sure a lot of people like myself would be lost without having a little extra knowledge and explanations.
