    Morning Beagles

quick query... what allows police to search a vehicle the day after arrest, primarily to seize airbag and take photos

I’ve looked at pace and am not clear whether s32 can be used in such circumstances. It seems more of a s18 thing ??

    thanks

Sounds like a legitimate S18, probably verbally authorised by an Inspector at the time.

If you're trying to render the search unlawful, ask to see evidence of the verbal authority in the searching officer and authorising officer's pocket note books.

That being said, if they seized anything, they will provide the searching authority in their statements producing the seized items as exhibits....
