  • Need urgent help please(Bailiff outside my house! - CDER Group Dartford parking fee

    Hi guys,

Long story short, CDER Group just called me, debt collector is outside my house due to an unpaid dartford fee crossing apparently! They said they have wrote to me, but i havent received anything.
The debt collector was so rude, and said he will be waiting for me to return home later and will be clamping my car (because its pcp lease)
    The fee is £425!
I did move address last august, and forgot to update my V5 untill November time.
I have asked him to supply me with a SAR and proof who he is etc and i will review and come back to him in 48 hours but he is refusing to accept that.

    What can i do?

    Really appreciate your help

The paperwork will have gone to your previous address and he has traced you to where you now live. The Notice of Enforcement needs to be resent to your current address for it to be valid. In the meantime try contacting them and at least get the ticket number from them https://www.dartford-crossing-charge...henticatedUser

Thanks for replying ploddertom . He posted the notice of intention to control my goods and be sold at auction letter. I have now come home and he has gone. He said he will be returning later.
I called CDER but they refused to talk to me, they kept saying you have to deal with only the enforcement debt collector who is outside my house lol

Can they clamp a leased car? Can you park it somewhere else (preferably in a garage) for now. Clearly you need to see the paperwork though if there was a debt you will have to pay it in the end! As per the usual TV stuff, don't let them in!

Look who I said to contact above. Pointless contacting a Bailiff unless you are going to pay in full.

If you park the car on a neighbours drive or some other pace that is private he cannot touch it. As for a Leased car then he has not taken due diligence into establishing who the owner is.
