What is a 'light van' practically speaking?

I was just reading covenants on parking bays for flats in my development and noticed that the parking rules say that "private motor vehicles (save for light vans)" may be parked in them. What is the definition of a light van? Is it your standard ford transit size van?

It's probably either "car derived vans" which are <2.0 tonnes or "light commercial vehicles" which are <3.5 tonnes.

A little update: We have had a parking management company take over and light commercial vans are considered medium vans in a residential context. Following the lease, ALL medium vans will be ticketed after the grace period and that will hold up in court should it be challenged. Nice to know, thought I'd share but it comes down to your particular lease terms at the end of the day.
