  • Mini Finance PCP

    Hello everyone,

I am looking to reach out for some guidance on a matter that I am unsure of.

Back in July last year I suffered from a fit after many years of being free. I had taken a PCP out with mini (BMW) in 2017 and paying fine.

I enquired at the time of seizure about handing the car back as didn't fancy paying for a car I cannot drive but the voluntary option agreement didn't suit me so didn't reply (which its suggested was fine and to only reply if I wanted to)

I have since had a letter today from collections stating as I am in breach of my contract for not currently having a licence (of which my dr has confirmed I will get back in july) that a notice of default will be issued shortly giving me 20 days to decide what to do...

I havent missed a single payment and plan to continue paying this for when I can drive again.

I work in finance and my understanding of defaults is if you default for a sustained period this is when a company can issued a default?*

any guidance on this would be great as a I fully intend to give mini what for on Monday and raise a formal complaint with them and legal advice if I need to?*

    many thanks,
