wanted to ask for advice. Recently parked in a parking eye car park in Durham. Came back after 3 plus hours, put my reg into the machine and a payment of £2.00 came up. Paid by card and have now received a parking penalty.
on investigation it’s £2.00 for 2 hours and £4.00 for 4.
being a Sunday I presumed it was a set price, and paid what was requested.
the letter states I left at 15.09
my reciept and ticket show I paid £2.00 at 15.09 so did not pay early and sit in my car for an hour. I have appealed but online it seems that nearly all appeals are reject regardless.
should I pay or wait and see if I am taken to small claims? Surely if after your reg is entered and you pay what is displayed and leave within mins of paying you have met the conditions.
