  • Motorhome Auction

I put my motorhome into a dealer on a strictly sale or return basis last year. I discovered they sold it through an auction in November. I wasn't told about this and only found out through word of mouth. The company ceased trading a few weeks ago and I am owed monies. Can I claim anything through the auction company (BCA).
I know the dealer who purchased it and the customer they sold it to.

The company to which you entrusted your motor home.... was it a limited company?

I don't see that you have a claim against the auction house unless the dealer was not authorised to offer it for sale at an auction (and then you would need to show the auction house were either aware of that fact or failed to carry out due diligence with regard to the dealers right to sell the vehicle at auction)
