  • Gladstone solicitors - G24 parking

After ignoring all previous correspondence from G24 and DRP over a parking fine on private land I have now received a letter from Gladstone Solicitors advising ‘their client now has the option to commence proceedings in the appropriate Civil Court.

I keep seeing other forum posts stating to keep ignoring the letters but I’m now worried I may go to court.

can anyone advise if I should continue to ignore or settle it?

    Thanks

Ignore has not been the advice since the introduction of Schedule 4 of The protection of Freedoms Act 2012 which allows the keeper to be chased for the actions of the driver, as long as the parking company comply with the requirements.

It's not a fine, it's an invoice for a payment that the driver agreed to pay when they parked and broke the rules.

Have you got the original Parking Charge Notice (PCN) that was sent to the keeper of the car?

If not then a SAR to G24 asking for all documents.
