Smart Parking PCN

Hello. My apologies for my English but I need help. Situation next. 06.10.2018 - my husband with wife( I ) and daughter (6 years old) left car in Smart parking in Hounslow and paid for parking place full day (£6) . We have receipt. Yesterday we got PCN and need will pay £60 . I found mistake - when my husband payed for parking he did mistake in car number one letter . This day it was raining and he hurried to pay because we were with a child. I called for smart parking and they are answered me - need will write explanatory letter. Somebody help me please with this situation. Thank you . Nataliia

Post up a copy of the PCN, removing any identifying details but leaving dates.. Do not phone Smart and do not tell them who was driving.

I have just received your Notice to Keeper xxxxx for vehicle VRM xxxx

You have failed to comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of The Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012 namely, but not limited to, failing to give notice of keeper liability as prescribed by section 9 (2) (f) of the Act. You cannot, therefore, transfer liability for the alleged charge from the driver at the time to me, the keeper.

There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time and I will not be doing so.

I do not expect to hear from you again, or you debt collectors, except to confirm that no further action will be taken on this matter and my personal details have been removed from your records.

We made a mistake in the car number when paid. Our car has the following letter “J” and my husband mistakenly typed “G”
