Hi, it is some time since I posted, I paid (as I thought) outstanding monies via an attachment of earnings when we moved out of our house in 2013. We now live on a narrowboat and continously cruise, so we are of 'no fixed abode'. Imagine my shock when I got my pay in August and discovered that an attachment of earnings had been applied because they had misallocated monies to 2008-9; then decided it was against 2012-13 and therefore we still owed £750. They have no address for us, but proceeded anyway. I have provided a Poste Restante address (valid for three months)
My questions are:
1)that if they have no address, can they do this? I had no.opportunity to offer to.pay etc?.
2) if there is an attachment of earnings, do I not need to have signed the form?
I have asked for a full breakdown of all transactions which doesn't explain why and how, so I have asked for a further explanation.
Anything else I should be asking for?
