Hi i am an 80 yr old who has given my right to buy my council propertty. I only have £7000 savings and i obviously wouldnt be able to get a mortgage i live alone. My 4 children and my grandchildren are all gifting me a piece of the 57k price of the house value. (I recieved the max of 102k discount) However i may still be short of around 10k. How if possible would we be able to cover the last amount. Would 9ne of them be able to get a personal loan OR as a gift? Or would that not be allowed due to it going towards buyimg my house. Its all so confusing Thanks in advance
