  • FRA query on leasehold.. advice needed ASAP

    Hi.
My parents are in the process of purchasing a leasehold flat. Their solicitor has asked the sellers solicitor if the FRA recommendations have been carried out. Unfortunately the seller cannot get a response from the freeholder. My parents solicitor is saying they cannot proceed without this being answered. M6 parents are cash buyers and are desperate to complete before the chain collapses. Is their solicitor correct in saying they can't proceed or can they instruct the solicitor to proceed without this information?

    Hi MARIEC47

Fire Risk Assessment is important, so I think your parents Solicitors are correct in stating that they need FRA details before the sale can go through.
