    If considering selling a property which was bought for below market value from a relative for personal reasons, would the reason you purchased for less need to be disclosed to any potential buyers solicitor. Any information would be brilliant, thank you

    The amount that the property was purchased for is listed on Land Registry, so any solicitor who ran a LandReg search would be able to obtain that information. In fact your prospective buyers could obtain the same document from LandReg - I think it costs about £3

      Thank you, that's helpful. So would the buyer or their solicitor be entitled to ask why you purchased the property for below market value previously? I wondered whether the buyer's side would need to check this out for ant money laundering purposes or would this be down to your own solicitor as part of selling?
