  • Married. Amicable split. Ex wants nothing. Int only Mortgage in his name...more

need to sort this asap. What to do???? Married-no children.

The house is in my husbands name only (Deeds), I have a "Material Interest" in the property registered with the Land Registry.
The Interest Only mortgage is in his name only, which is due to be paid off in a couple of years, less than £90k.
We are splitting up, he wants nothing out of it and neither do I, it's amicable. In fact we don't even want to pay for a Divorce.
He has somewhere to go and I want to stay in the house.

I'm confused as to the best way to go about it all. Do we pay off the mortgage, get the Deeds from Building Society and then take him off the Deeds & put me on? And then go our separate ways? Am I right in saying that there would be no taxes to pay?

    thanks for any help
