Can someone please answer me this question as I am asking it on behalf of a work colleague. If he buys or rents a property with his partner, how long do they have to be living together before each one is entitled to the other's money, savings, assets etc? thanks

Re: Co-habiting and rights
Presumably you are talking about a co habiting couple rather than a civil partnership/ married couple in which case I believe the answer is NEVER.
When a co habiting couple split they take away from the relationship what is theirs, not necessarily what they contributed.
