  • Told i am intentionally homeless???

    Hi all,newbie here.
I made a homeless application to southwark council back in april with my 3 children aged 12,8 as their father asked us to leave due to overcrowding and this causing arguments. He has a 1 bed flat. I was given temp accommodation while the council investigated its duty to rehouse us. I received a letter on 2 DEC saying the council found me eligible for assistance,in priority need but made myself intentionally homeless from my previous flat in slough. I have til 28th to leave temp accommodation. Great news to get just before Christmas with 3 children and a 4th on the way.....
I was told i have 21 days to ask for a review which i want to do but how likely am i to be succesaful?
I was given help to get my previous flat by slough council under a rent deposit scheme a got part housing benefit as i work p/t. I was still unable to afford to keep the flat heated in winter as the flat was fully elextric inc the heating and hot water. Often we would have to go without heating and just have a short shower in the mornings.
From the day we moved in I had my car broken into. Following this I had my car tampered with 3 more times. There were groups of ppl smoking drugs on my doorstep and landing. Loud fights breaking out in the night inc an attempted murder, the last straw came when my flat got broken into while I left the flat to collect my children from school for 20 minutes. After that the kids were scared to stay there, had nightmares, would only sleep in my bed,my son had problems at school and ended up being excluded. No other schools in the area would take him. My only option was to apply to schools near his father in Southwark and thankfully a school where his cousins attended took him on. I ended my tenancy for these reasons as slough council didnt offer much help despite complaints. Anyway we stayed with the kids father til he asked us to leave and here we are. Southwark said I had no evidence of anti social beviour but I have all the crime reports and correspondence from slough council about my concerns. Sorry to ramble on but based on this do I have chance in convincing Southwark to reconsider?

Have they said WHY they have decided you are 'intentionally homeless' and is their decision based on your leaving your ex-partner's flat? and do they know you are pregnant (you should show them a MAT B1 form)?
I really do think you have to appeal (and the sooner the better).
