  • How do i gift my house to my daughter

I want to give my house to my daughter but still have the assurity that she could not sell it until I die.
Is there a legal way to do this IE maybe pay a nominal rent payment of £50 per year until I die.
    thank you all.

    Hi

Yes you put it in trust but you have to get a proper solicitor to draw it up because it can be a bit of a nightmare.

Be careful if your considering letting the solisitor also act as trustee,

There are certan things that gifting her will not avoid, like any bankruptcy action in the next few years.
crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even

There are a few things to think about before you do this

Rules from HMRC this is about Inheritance Tax http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/inheritanceta...o-children.htm

A little more info here http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/e...-children.html

There are also implications if you have deemed to sign your house over to avoid care costs
