  • Property left at new house

    Hi just a quick question
I done a house exchange back in may the person who I swapped with son left a large fish tank and book case which they say is valuable in an out building
i have asked him to collect them but so far all I keep getting is I need to rent a van to collect the stuff

Question is can I dispose of the stuff as 4 months later I'm still waiting for them to collect the stuff

    thanks
    Chris

Personally, I would contact them again informing them that they have 7 (or 14?) days to collect their items, or they will be disposed of. Or start charging them "storage" :tinysmile_twink_t2:

so this time .... you'll have to follow through with it :tinysmile_grin_t:

Make sure you keep proof of what you have sent them, and there should be no problems at all. In my opinion, you have been more than reasonable by keeping it this long!!

You can charge them storage fees, inform them of this, tell them that they should arrainge removal after 14 days or you will do it at charge, send recorded delivery.
