Mortgage Exit Fees

Hi - I have recently noticed that my lender has charged me a mortgage exit fee for transferring the product to a new administrator/ servicing company - as this is not my choice why am I being charged? and, it seems to me that this is not an exit, it is a transfer.??

Have you challenged them on this, as you say it is an unfair charge.

Hi - yes keep writing to this outfit but they wont reply so guess it will have to go to the FOS - or maybe I could make a money claim. I think I will double check the contract and then write with an Notice of Intention to take court action, or they could refund me the fee beforehand.
