Re: Tenant wishes to leave early from lease

Location was at the rental house AFTER they had moved their things in. Not witnesses, not even by the dog! LOL They have got the money as he earns a lot hence them moving in. He tours with rock bands! She has a sandwich shop obviously in his name... The Agent hasn't got too much to go for as he's a one man band and a taxi driver! Must need the money and isn't your normal Estate Agent with the BMW and the house on the best road in town!

Will catch up tomorrow on it. I feel there should be something but think there maybe nothing! But, we can but look and try. No Inventory done and house left a mess with no oven in! Dirty carpets, etc... I believe the tenant said to the landlord that "there is f*** all you can do as its not legal". The dog gave no reply.

As a non expert on this one, Trixie I would have thought that the agent was liable if the tenant could not be forced to cough up.

Looking at the original argument(discussion) it seems to me that Tea boy was indeed correct however he missed out the consequences of a course of action. Indeed they can move out BUT unless the LL agrees otherwise they are liable for the rent up to the end of the tenancy.
It's a bit like saying yes I can go and shoot a parrot and not mentioning the consequences...possible life inside if it was a flaming one

I thought they were bullet proof. Look, parrot shooting - perfectly safe!

The parrot in question has, so far, avoided being caged, despite threats to the contrary! :flypig::flypig::flypig::rofl::rofl::rofl:
