  • Failed yearly gas safety check

    Hi People,
Bit random this but I am living in a property rented of a social housing association, seen as they are been funny about a couple of things I thought I would return the favour, Today I had my yearly gas safety check; I should state at this point the property was bought by them and refurbished immediately to myself moving in. But back to the point I have been here almost 4 years now upon moving in I had all safety certificates and in the previous 3 years a company engineer has been out and signed off on the gas installation (mainly the boiler)

Today I bloke from a different company comes out and within half an hour isolates the boiler and certifies it as (according to his paperwork) an immediate risk to life due to the fact the flue is right next to a fan vent for my bathroom, My question here is if its an immediate risk to life then does that mean my landlord has been putting me at risk for the past 3 years and what can I do about this?

To be clear the flue and the vent are exactly as they where the day I moved in..

    Thanks for your help

Have you suffered any signs of sickness during your time at the house?
