  • Arrears refinanced

This is a follow up to previous post

just a quick update and a quick question

i had meeting with landlord and have had to agree to 200 a week (50 off arrears)

ive also now signed a tenancy agreement for 12 months

in the agreement we've put 200 per week to include current arrears(2450 inc dec)
    previously 650/mth

would this effectively wipe my slate clean so to speak in terms of 2 months arrears as, in effect, we have signed a new agreement at a higher rent, theoretically. or would the arrears still hold , in the eyes of the law?

not planning on defaulting but need to know just in case they throw anything at me

    regards

    Re: Arrears refinanced

To be safe I would get a clause written into the new agreement saying that any outstanding balance will be reduced to nil at the end of this agreement.
