cant get insurance

sorry if i have posted in he wrong part of the forum .
I am trying to get hose insurance for my property but cannot get anybody to quote.
My situation is that I am a resident landlord in house in multiple occupation . I have 8 tenants spread across two buildings on the site. 4 of these are foreign language students andthe other four are housing benefits. I cannot get anyone to quote me for structual insurance and i'm starting to get pressure from my mortgage company to get the property covered does anyone know of a specialist insurance broker who might be able to help.

Because of a different set of circumstances I came across HISCOX Insurance, they seemed to be able to view things outside of the normal box of the Insurers et al. Another was AIM Insurance, both of these threw up because my requirements were different

I would ask also that if the mortgage company are putting pressure upon you, then why are they not able to point you in a direction for insurance, most are on referal commission anyway?

You need to go to a agent or visit any insurance company. They will guide you the rules about house insurance and will make things easy for you.

Jason, they will lie to you because of sales targets and they may offer much higher insurance premiums to cover their commission rather than doing the quotes online. Please try and understand how the world works these days cos we all need to be aware of the underlying current in financial services: targets, commission and who cares once we have the sale.
