  • Obtaining a Copy of a Historical Conveyance

    I wonder if anybody could advise me on how the obtain historical conveyances for my property from the Land Registry?

    Do you know the exact date of the document? If so, use form OC2 - https://www.gov.uk/government/public...gistration-oc2. There is a fee to be paid of, I think, £11.

      Thank you for your prompt reply - this very helpful - I will study these forms - not too sure which box to tick for the actual conveyance which was on the year 2,000.

        Part 7 of the form does not appear to require any box ticking.

            Why pay several times more than if you go to the Land Registry directly?

              You can usually get old conveyance documents directly from the Land Registry as long as they’ve been scanned into their system. Go on the LR website, search your title number and look under “Documents Available for Download”or something along them lines. If it isn’t listed there, you can raise a request through their enquiry form and they’ll check the archive for you. It only costs a few quid if they have it
