I can give some examples if that helps?
    Feb 25
-prepared the house for me and my daughter to view. Had it redecorated for us. We viewed it and were happy to start the buying process.
-15th Feb messages from him sending photos of some pots and pans he intended to buy us as a 'housewarming gift'
-17th Feb had the house valued and informed me via message of the property value and called me a 'lucky lady'
    - 27/28th march text discussion about the lease on the property as needed to move forward.
    - 29th march text saying surveyor coming on Monday and then I will have the keys to my new home. 'its all yours sweetheart, I just want you to be happy' As well as informing me to hand my notice in for my tenancy at the time.
-Sent me a photo of the keys saying 'come and get the keys to your new home'
    - A text message he sent to my mum saying that I could have the keys that day and I'm a 'lucky lady'

    April/May
Text discussions surrounding solicitors and mortgage information needed to proceed.
Text discussions about little jobs that needed doing in the property e.g. fixing the outdoor lights, dishwasher etc. I fixed and paid.
Further messages from him telling me to hand my notice in as I was taking my time moving in slowly.
Texts back and forth arranging a time for him to help me move in with some boxes.
Texts asking me if any letters have arrived at 'my home' for him.
Text discussions about changing council tax into my name. He wanted this done asap

I have emails between myself and my solicitor regarding the sale.
Emails proving I ended my tenancy at the end of may.

You may have a case, but on the incomplete and limited information you have chosen to provide it is hard to say more.

To answer the last question that you posted-“would the messages back and forth between myself and my step dad count?” My answer is-I don’t know!
The reason for my answer is- I haven’t sighted the documents.

I again suggest that you post up on here all of the documents in the matter, suitably redacted.
