Hi can anyone advise me regarding rescinding a contract and getting my deposit back on an off plan property please? The long stop date is 30th June 2025, I had planned to wait for the date to arrive and then rescind the contract and request my deposit back. The solicitor has in the meantime sent an email asking if I want to rescind the contract on 1st July. As I am in contract with the solicitor until the long stop date they are requesting £650 plus VAT to process it. This seems very unreasonable as I am not I'm breach of the contract, which states that I will receive £1000 towards legal fees. So I don't know where I stand and time is running out. Does anyone know if I need to send a request to complete letter first once the long stop date has passed? And if I wait for this date can they refuse to return my deposit for not using the solicitor whilst still in contract? I've uploaded the section on the right to terminate it only talks about serving notice to complete on their part. TYIA
