The gutter is fixed to my property but takes rainwater from my and my neighbours property. The gutter needs improvement as in heavy rain it overflows and causes water ingress into my property. Is my neighbour liable to help with the cost of remedial work?

Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

This comes under communal repairs. They are obliged to pay, though I don't think you'd be able to force them unless you undertook the work yourself and took them to the small claims court.
