  • place of residence: legal implications?

If someone is at their place of residence, does it mean they have a legal stake in the property? I have been told as much, but we are not sure. Thankyou.

I think I interpreted it as : the resident would own part of the property.
      Thankyou.

I'm confused what you are asking about. What's the actual situation that has given rise to the question?

Residence and ownership are completlely different things. Being a resident doesn't automatically make you a (part) owner. Being an owner doesn't automatically make you a resident.
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.
