  • Tree height issues

    Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I recently moved into a new property last December. Since then, I've been experiencing an issue with a neighbor's tree that has grown to a considerable height (I’d estimate about 9/10m), significantly affecting the sunlight that enters my house and garden. I believe in open communication and finding amicable solutions, but it seems like a tricky situation. I would greatly appreciate any legal insights or advice on how to approach this matter and potentially find a resolution that works for both parties. Thank you in advance for your help.

Try to avoid LEGAL research the problem and talk to the neighbour if they are not agreeable or abusive then decide on any action you may take.Remember the trees were there before you they may not want to do anything or may not be able to afford to do anything about the trees.

Check your local Council's Tree Policy, each Council has one, they will tell you what the Rules etc. are.
