  • Section 21

    Hello,
I would like to know if it is necessary to use form 6a for giving section 21 notice. I have read on citizen advice beauru website that a letter contain all required information as in form 6a can be suffice as a valid section 21 notice. But I am not sure if that rule still applies. Can someone guide me if the statement is true.

If it is true then the notice I have been giving to my tenant to vacate the property in April, May and July is enough to start court proceeding?

I will be very grateful for any help.

I believe it has to be delivered by the date the rent is due and give two months notice. You can not start court proceedings until after the end of the notice period- I hope that helps

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
