Hi, i purchased my home via a builder scheme where they delayed payment of 25% for 10 years. And accordingly took a charge on the property via land registry. the issue is at some point they sold the debt to another company (Without my knowledge). I have been in contact with the new company and asked them to provide evidence they are the legal debtor, to which they have never been able to do i have asked on a number of occasions but still no joy. This led me to purchase a land registry search on my property that shows my current mortgage provide and the original developer.
what i do not want to happen is i pay the new company, but they are not the developer and they cannot request the charge be removed from the LR, and as the original developer does not respond to a written request to remove them selves, i am wondering if there is anything i can do?
as i no longer have a debt with the original developer can i apply to the LR to have there interest removed?
